Temperature Laboratory

The accurate measurement of temperature is vital across a broad spectrum of human activities ranging from manufacturing (e.g. glass products) to monitoring (e.g. food transport & storage) and to health and safety (e.g. sterilisation of instruments). The SI unit of Temperature is Degree Celcius (ºC).

OUR STANDARDS REFERENCES

SMSB follows the Thermometry Measurement System based on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).

Primary Standard of high precision Platinum Resistance Thermometer precision read up to 0.001ºC covering range from -30ºC ~ 1200ºC. (sensor + sensor2)

Precision Multimeters Agilent 34401A & Temperature Calibrators which are able to verify the source and measure of all types of functions e.g. Thermocouple, RTD, DCV, mA ranging from -200º~1800ºC.

Constant Stability Humidity Control Enclosure for humidity measurement to generate humidity from 20-98%RH.

Blackbody for Non-Contact Thermometer (Infrared Thermometer) with a range from - 30º~400ºC.

TRACEABILITY

All SMSB standards are traceable to the National Metrology Laboratory, Malaysia (NML).
